Does the title seem impossible? Think again!
Recreus, the 3D printing firm from Spain, designed the Sneakerbot II shoes that you can fold up by using a durable filament. By using this highly flexible filament, it’s possible to make these shoes in just two pieces: the tongue and the rest of the shoes.
After you’ve folded the Sneakerbot II, it will take its original form again through the elastic 1.75mm filament that is very bendy and will automatically take its original form again when you “unfold” them.
You can download the file to create your own pair of Sneakerbot II shoes from your 3D printer. Click here to download to file for the shoe’s tongue and the rest of it, for free. Choose for metallic finishes or colorful matte hues.
But the Sneakerbot II’s are not the only 3D printed shoes on the market. Brands like Nike and Iris Van Herpen are also experimenting with 3D technology to print shoes.
Would you wear these high-end Sneakerbot II sneakers?
