Wearable tech can look dorky, but this smartring is as functional as it is fashionable. Ringly’s color-coded lighting and vibrating functions allows wearers to receive phone notifications 20-30 feet from their phone. So now, women can stay connected to their phone without disturbing meetings, seeming rude at dinner or rummaging through purses.
The ring, compatible with iPhone and Androids, uses Bluetooth and LE-Technology to receive calls, texts, emails and calendar alerts. Ringly also works with popular social media and mobile apps like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and Uber. Users can set up to four different vibration patterns and five color blinking lights. However, since priorities may differ during work hours and the weekend, the Ringly app can customize and change alerts at any time.
Using a USB outlet, the Ringly box also works as a charger. Or women can rely on the box’s battery which can last about a week.
The ring is available in four semi-precious stones framed in 18K gold, with prices ranging from $195-260. However, there’s a new, limited edition “Dive Bar” with tourmalated quartz while supplies lasts. Ring sizes are limited to 6,7 and 8. All new orders will ship this summer.
Ringly’s beautiful design challenges the standard, masculine smart gadgets. Would you buy a Ringly?
